![]() I told them to keep their shoes on while inside the room. However, the carpet was visibly stained, a large circular stain at the entrance, and my children (13 & 9) thought it was a bloodstain. Upon entering the room, it was visibly dated, but that was ok because it was such a great rate. We later found out that KayKay lives in this room. The first unit had a "As Seen on TV" mesh screen door. To the left of the one-story building, on the sidewalk were two washing machines and one dryer setting upon the sidewalk. Our room was situated in the one-story building and not the main motel complex. A convenience store is in front of the motel as well as a liquor store which could attract a wide-variety of traffic. Upon a cursory view, the motel is located in a high-traffic area right off of Interstate 75. I booked the room on for two nights, but we had to arrive a day earlier, so I directly contacted the motel and booked a room for Wednesday night. The rate was approximately $50 a night which was great. ![]() I was trying to save money while attending an FFA Pig Show with my children however, it was a huge mistake. We will NOT stay or recommend this place ever!… between the highway noise & gas station traffic, there was no sleep for the weary, The bed was like sleeping on the floor so we didn't get any sleep, we just waited for the sun to come up and we left. The only upgrade this century was the flooring, which was not done professionally. We ran the water but sorry, there was NO HOT water so we couldn't shower!! The TV offered did not come with free non-commercial programming & when you change the channel it took a minute to catch up. Not safe for dogs to walk & there is a sign from the gas station to stay off the grass/no pets (too funny). The pet walking area is behind the gas station which is right in front of this place with a busted barbed fencing on the ground. This is a 1* Motel, and if you have pets, take them to stay somewhere safe. This was listed as a 2* Motel but we thought for $74 that isn't bad, with pets it's $99. Go to the next exit up and save yourself from this adventure. The only delivery place recommended by them was Dominos. I guess I'm spoiled with modern rooms which this place is not. Every time the a/c unit came on, you knew about it! The sink was old & with RUST stains, it was gross! We didn't feel comfortable or safe in the Motel or location, EVEN the Reception/check-in had a barrier so when it gets dark they lock it and you have a little window to communicate with them instead. The door didn't fit the frame so the noise from the gas station & highway were very present. We would have stayed at the Best Western across the street if we would have known about it. band-aides, super glue? In the write-up there was no disclosure of a pet fee/charge until we arrived and was charged an additional $25. HORRIBLE! We had no breakfast because we just wanted to get out of there! Building was falling apart, who knows what is holding it together.
